Theateradvies gives NDT a tour of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying)

On June 21st and 22nd, the dance company NDT from the Netherlands performed their productions 'Shut Eye', 'Solo Echo' en 'Safe as houses' in the Opera House of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying).
The performances were very well received by the Taiwanese public, for whom it was the first time to see the NDT in Kaohsiung.
In the week the NDT resided in Kaohsiung, Louis Janssen,the theatre consultant responsible for Weiwuying, gave an extensive tour of the theatre complex.
The company,present at the tour, was unanimously impressed by this fantastic building.
According to the Artistic Director of NDT, Paul Lightfoot, ’thanks to the Dutch’, referring to Mecanoo architects and Theateradvies bv.
The company did not only appreciate the well designed stage equipment, but also praised the efficient logistics and the very pleasant working conditions on stage.

This may be the start of a long-term artistic relationship between the NDT and Weiwuying.
