Wennekertheater

New auditorium with 200 seats

The former gin distillery in Wenneker has been transformed by Royal Haskoning Architects into a cultural centre. The existing structure of the building was left almost completely intact. The Wenneker building consists of an auditorium and cinema, lecture spaces for the youth theatre school, exposition room, a dance studio and workshops. The multifunctional hall is suitable for theatre and film projection. The seating rows can be ‘stretched’ out so that film viewers have 10 cm more legroom. The seating can also be completely stored, so that the auditorium can also be rented out as an empty space.
