New Riga Theatre

Renovation of a historic theatre in the heart of Riga

A team led by Zaigas Gailes Birojs Architects has won the competition for the renovation and modernization of the New Riga Theatre in Latvia. Theateradvies was part of this team and has been selected as theater consultant.

The New Riga Theatre is located in a historical building in the heart of the city and was built in 1902. The design includes three auditoriums with 524, 290 and 110 seats. In the large theater, the fly tower will be increased and there will be daylight on the stage.

Theateradvies is working on this project together with Zaigas Gailes Birojs Architects on the design of the auditoriums, the logistics and the technical theater installations.
