Gert Beinema
Project manager
"Every project is a unique puzzle”
Gert began his career in theater technology, but over time his interests broadened to include buildings and organizations—the complete picture. “Renovations, reorganizations, aligning buildings and organizations: that’s what gives me energy.” As a project manager at Theateradvies, he truly feels in his element.
Gert's approach:
What do users see, what do they want, and just as importantly: what wishes do they not dare to express? What else might be possible? How could it work? By having these conversations, you broaden the perspective and can arrive at surprising solutions together with clients and users.
Gert's background:
Volunteer at the theatre in Haaksbergen * Technical Producer at SteengroeveTheater * Head of Technical Services at Theater De Storm, Winterswijk * Operations Manager at Theater Junushoff, Wageningen * Operational Manager at Theater Hanzehof & Buitensociëteit, Zutphen.
“When I was fourteen, I first entered the theatre backstage as a volunteer. I was immediately captivated by the magic: what begins as a construction site full of steel, plugs, cables, buttons, and lights during the day is transformed into another world by evening. That fascination has never left me. Theatre, especially today, has an essential social role. In contrast to the pull of screens, theatre offers real interaction. It helps people think. It provides relaxation and connection in a hectic world.”
“During the Inspiring Leadership training at De Baak, everything clicked: working on theatres, but in a project-based way—that’s what energizes me. It’s inspiring to collaborate with professionals on all kinds of projects and to share knowledge. And it’s rewarding to look at what a theatre truly needs from the outside, with a fresh and objective perspective. No project is ever the same; every time, a new puzzle lands on the table. And that’s exactly what makes it so enjoyable.”
